If you are planning to visit our reading rooms, you will need a reader’s ticket.
To obtain or renew a reader’s ticket you will need to register your personal details and view a document handling video.
Lost or forgotten tickets can be replaced for a charge of £5. Stolen tickets will be replaced without charge if you show the registration desk a police crime reference number and acceptable identification.
Please order your replacement ticket here and bring with you two forms of identification (one with proof of identity and one with proof of address) when you come to collect it. Replacement reader's tickets can be collected from the Reader Registration Desk on the First Floor.
PLEASE NOTE THAT DELIVERY IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR THIS ITEM AND REPLACEMENT READER'S TICKETS MUST BE COLLECTED ON SITE AT THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES.

We offer free standard UK delivery on all orders over £50.
Orders up to £30 are charged a flat fee of £4.95 within the UK.
Orders between £30.01 and £50 are charged a flat fee of £6.95 within the UK.
Usual UK delivery timescale (excluding custom prints) is between 5 and 7 working days from the date of dispatch.
Due to the EU Regulation 2023/988 (GPSR) selected items are not available for delivery to Northern Ireland.
Delivery Worldwide
Due to the EU Regulation 2023/988 (GPSR) we are currently unable to accept any orders for delivery to EU member countries and Switzerland.
We can deliver to other selected countries worldwide.
