Sixth Edition which includes background details on censuses and listings of people from 1086 to 1841 in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Many lists contain names, ages, addresses, occupations and birthplaces of individuals. Some listings were required by central or local government for military purposes (muster rolls and militia lists), or to aid the collection of levies and taxes (poll tax, subsidy lists, hearth, window and land taxes, etc), other listings were required by Church authorities to determine who was (and who was not) regularly attending Church. An appendix states which censuses for 1801, 1811, 1821 and 1831 contain names of people. There are over 200 references and a comprehensive index.

Usual UK delivery timescale (excluding custom prints) is between 5 and 7 working days from the date of dispatch.
Due to the EU Regulation 2023/988 (GPSR) selected items are not available for delivery to Northern Ireland.
