Our unique pack of playing cards is only available from us and features 16 different seals from royalty, nobility, and the clergy for the face cards as well as 9 different pieces of marginalia for the number cards. The reverse of each card features The National Archives logo.
The Medieval period of English history spans Domesday to the reign of the Tudors, a period of history packed with famous kings and queens and brought to us by the scribes of the age. The National Archives holds many records from this time, including the seals of royalty and the marginalia of the scribes, small sketches drawn into the margins of official documents, now presented in this set of playing cards.
