Four hundred years ago, wild boar officially became extinct in Britain. Boar hunts were the realm of kings in the middle ages, indeed the boar was the heraldic symbol used by Richard III. A charging boar was considered an exceptionally dangerous foe, due to its thick hide and dense bones. Our cuddlier boars are a much more friendly proposition, and come complete with a removable metal boar pendant in the shape of the King's royal symbol.
