    Description

    The Mellerstain Parrots is taken from an original Arts & Crafts Firescreen within the embroidery collection at Mellerstain House in the Scottish Borders, reproduced by special permission from The Countess of Haddington. The house is open to the public so do visit this treasure, which sits in front of the fire in the Machineel Room.

    The full version of the firescreen is available as an advanced (Level 3) kit. Although the design is complete without any additions, there is enough space so that, if you wish, you can embroider a date or signature between the acorn cups at the base of the design to celebrate a special occasion.

    • Linen size: 17 x 17”
    • Design size: 10 1/2 x 10”

    Stitches:
    Padded Satin, Satin Stitch, Closed Fly Stitch, Crewel Stem Stitch, French Knots, Long & Short as ‘soft shading’.

         Please note the cushion in the photograph is an illustration of how you might display your finished work. The kit is for the embroidered panel only.

    Delivery within the UK

    We offer free standard delivery on all orders over £50.*

    Orders up to £30 are charged a flat fee of £4.95

    Orders between £30.01 and £50 are charged a flat fee of £6.95.

    Usual delivery timescale (excluding custom prints) is between 5 and 7 working days from the date of dispatch. Please allow up to 14 working days for delivery. *UK only. For custom print delivery pricing and timescales see below.

    Custom Prints

    Your prints and frames will be handmade by King & McGaw at their Sussex workshop.

    Unframed orders are shipped within 5 working days (normally shipped next day).

    Framed orders are shipped within 20 working days.

    RETURNS

    If you are not completely satisfied with your item you may return it within 28 days for a refund.

    Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund on custom prints unless they are faulty or we have made a mistake. Custom prints are exempt as they are made to order.
