Mug commemorating the suffrage movement designed by Alison Gardiner. Alison is a Southsea-based designer and illustrator who is most well-known for her heritage collections. Everything she designs and makes within the UK.
This hand-crafted fine bone china cup is made in the potteries in Stoke-on-Trent, one of Great Britain’s last remaining craft industries, using traditional methods which have remained unchanged for generations. Fine bone china is translucent, pure white in colour and is stronger and more chip-resistant than earthenware china, and has been made in Stoke-on-Trent since the 1790’s by famous pottery houses such as Spode, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, and Duchess China.
Each mug takes 7 days to make; it is cast in a mould and is finished by hand by highly skilled glazers and lithographers.
Dimensions: 95mm high, capacity 290ml. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO A RECENT RE-DESIGN THIS MUG NOW HAS A STRAIGHT EDGE UP TO THE RIM WHICH IS SLIGHLTY DIFFERENT TO THE CURRENT IMAGES
